Actions for Earth - Global Youth Summit 2020

We know that music has an impact on people and people can change the world so why not write a song and play your part- write a Song for Sustainability! Your song could be chosen to be performed at the Global Youth Summit-Actions for Earth, next Jan 19-21 and be on TV.  It can be an instrumental piece, with or without lyrics,

a capella - it’s up to you!

 

Entry Guidelines:

 

  • All entrants must be 23 years of age or under.

  • There is a $15 cost of entry to participate in the Song for Sustainability Competition. This is to cover administration and staff costs. Any remaining proceeds are contributed to the Actions for Earth - Global Youth Summit 2020.

  • Closing date for submissions is 30 November 2019

 

 

Song Requirements:

 

  • One musical item may be submitted per entry

  • The musical work must be an original. Copyright ownership remains the property of the songwriter.

  • Please submit links to audio (mp3) or video recordings (mp4 or mov) via the website submission form at www.globalyouthsummit.com.au

  • Entries may be made by an individual, group or School

  • The competition is open to local Australian and international entrants, but the language of the lyrics should be English. A copy of the lyrics should be submitted with the audio or video file.

 

 

Promotions:

 

  • By entering the competition, the songwriter agrees to give permission for use with any media relating to the Global Youth Summit, by event organisers (Hemispheres, Singapore and Pounce Global, Australia) leading up to, during and 18months after the Global Youth Summit 2020.

  • This may include TV, radio, social media platforms. Acknowledgement of the songwriter will be given wherever possible

 

Prizes:

 

  • Winners will receive a Song for Sustainability certificate and prizes to the value of $1000 which may include: music tuition, musical instruments, VIP pass to the Global Youth Summit 2020, plus a performance of the song at the Summit and feature on TV.

  • Winners will be announced on the Hemispheresfund.org, GlobalYouthSummit.com.au, HelloMusic.com.au websites and Global Youth Summit facebook page on December 20th. An email will also be sent directly to the winners.
